God's Vision Our Mission

Healthy Families Ministry
We help build stronger families and healthier congregation members and neighbors.  We offer resources and events that enhance marriage & family life, financial management, nutrition and physical fitness.
Opportunities
Volunteer to help out with our Terrific Tuesdays youth event. Help make this long-standing summer tradition another great success! Youth from our church and throughout the community will gather for two evenings full of yummy food, crafts, skits, songs and other character-building fun. You time & talents will make all the difference!
   When:  6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall on July 12 & 26
    Contact:  Peggy Miles, (301) 294-2496 or bpsmiles@aol.com
Help us recruit presenters for healthy-families workshops. We will offer programs on financial management, parenting, fitness, nutrition & more. Please introduce us to friends or colleagues with relevant expertise. Better yet, volunteer to present a session!

Help a friend or relative begin the road to recovery through Alcoholics Anonymous. An open meeting takes place weekly in Living Faith’s old kitchen. About 20,000 Americans die annually from alcohol-related causes. Let’s help those we know & love.

Help spouses, children, parents and friends of alcoholics find support through Al-Anon, which meets weekly in Crusader’s E-wing. About 14 million Americans have a drinking problem, but only 10% will ever get help. Al-Anon can ease their loved ones’ despair.
